Halloween: Party Food Crafts

Throw a scary-good Halloween party with these frightfully easy and delicious party food crafts that are sure to impress your guests!

Feet Loaf:

Start with your favorite meatloaf recipe and shape the meatloaf into a foot with a small ankle (no structure needed--free-form it!). Make the toes by using a butter knife to separate and mold the meat. Cut an onion in half and add to the top of the ankle to make a leg bone. Cut cloves of garlic into bite-size pieces and put 1 on each toe to make nails. Now it's time to add the sauce: Whisk together some ketchup, vinegar and gochujang in a bowl and brush the mixture over the foot and at the top of the ankle.

Bake according to the meatloaf recipe, tenting the toes if needed with aluminum foil. And there you have it…feet loaf!

Crispy Rice Treat Brains:

Start with your favorite crispy rice treat recipe or one from a cereal box. Before adding the rice cereal, add a few drops of red food coloring to the marshmallow mixture until you get a light red color. Shape the mixture into small oval shapes to mimic brains. Make a divide down the middle of each with a butter knife to create the right and left side of the brain. Use store-bought red gel icing to drizzle squiggly lines over the brains. For an added spooky touch, find Halloween skulls at your local craft or party store. Cut off the tops of the skulls and put your crispy rice treat brains in the bottoms!

Pepper, Cheese and Olive Eyeballs:

Start with small mozzarella balls and carve out a 1/2-inch piece from each with a melon baller or paring knife. Place each mozzarella ball inside a roasted cherry pepper with the cut side facing up. Slice green olives (with pimiento pits) into discs. Place an olive disc in the scooped out part of each mozzarella ball. Put your completed eyeballs on a serving tray and drizzle with balsamic vinegar! It's the perfect bite for all of your party guests.
