Bandana Table Runner

What you'll need:

  • Individual red, white and blue bandanas
  • Microstitch gun (or fabric tape)

How to:

  1. Line up the bandanas on the table in a row, alternating colors.
  2. Adhere the bandanas together using the microstitch gun.
  3. Set on your table and place the food and decor on top.
  4. To remove, just cut the plastic strips holding the bandanas together.

Fruit Fireworks

What you'll need:

  • Scissors
  • Gold (or silver) table fringe
  • Tape
  • Long wooden skewers
  • Ring cutter
  • Watermelon
  • Pineapple
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries

How to:

  1. Cut off the ends of the table fringe.
  2. Tape pieces of fringe to the end of each skewer, about 3 inches from the bottom (you'll want to leave some space for when you display them).
  3. Using a ring cutter, cut out circles of watermelon and pineapple.
  4. Thread a watermelon circle on each skewer, followed by a pineapple circle and another watermelon circle.
  5. Thread a blueberry onto each skewer.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you reach the top of the skewer.
  7. Cut off the stem of each strawberry and place one on the point of each skewer (as the top of the firework).
  8. To display the skewers, cut the unused portion of watermelon in half and flip over so the outside of the watermelon is facing upward. Place the skewers into the hard shell of the watermelon and enjoy!

DIY Snow Cones

What you'll need:

  • Sugar
  • 3 bowls
  • Blue powdered drink mix
  • Red powdered drink mix
  • Lemons
  • Food processor
  • Ice
  • Snow cone paper holders (or glasses)

How to:

  1. Make sugar water by bring 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a saucepan. As soon as it boils, take it off the heat and let cool.
  2. Divide the sugar water mixture into 3 separate bowls.
  3. Add 2 packets of blue powdered drink mix to one bowl and whisk.
  4. Add 2 packets of red powdered drink mix to the second bowl and whisk.
  5. Add 1 cup of lemon juice (from about 3 lemons) to the third bowl and whisk.
  6. Fill the food processor halfway with ice and pulse until finely ground.
  7. Scoop the ice into the snow cone paper holders.
  8. Pour the flavored syrups over the ice (we suggest doing stripes of all 3 colors on 1 snow cone, but you can make individually flavored cones as well!).

Confetti Cannons

What you'll need:

  • Scissors
  • Red, white or blue balloons
  • Paper towel or toilet paper rolls (depending on desired size)
  • Tape
  • Red, white and blue art supplies, such as paint, tape, markers, etc.
  • Glitter confetti
  • Bucket or basket for display

How to:

  1. Cut the balloons in half and tie a knot at the end of each (discard the top part of the balloons).
  2. Attach the ends of each balloon to one end of each paper towel (or TP) roll and tightly secure with tape.
  3. Decorate the paper towel rolls in red, white and blue (using tape, paint, markers, etc.).
  4. Fill each paper towel roll with confetti.
  5. Arrange the confetti cannons for the guests neatly in a basket or bucket.
  6. To use, pull the bottom of the balloon and let the confetti fly!
