Going Global

To kick off week two of Boot Camp, Anne and Bobby welcome the recruits to NYC's Chinatown, where they'll learn the art of noodle-making from a true expert. Then, the scary part: They'll have to pull their own noodles.

Noodle Master

Chef Lee shows the recruits how it's done. "I could stand here for five years and watch him do it 500 times — still not happening," says Erica.

Chefs' Turn

Anne and Bobby demo Asian noodle dishes for their recruits to replicate. Bobby's doing a red curry; Anne is making stir-fry.

Use Your Noodle

Since she believes she's already a good cook, Sherrill resists Chef Bobby's tips. He has to convince her that her noodles do not taste good.

Stir-Fry Success

Bob takes the win for the Red Team. "It actually tastes kind of good, Bob!" says a proud Chef Anne, who gets a smile out of him.

First-Timer

"I feel pretty at home, but just because I'm Asian doesn’t mean I know how to cook Chinese food," says Sarina. When her dish doesn't turn out well, she bursts into tears.

Big Win

To his own surprise, Vinnie is the winner on Chef Bobby's team: "I'm totally shocked to be where I am in this competition. I'm pulling noodles and I'm winning challenges! I look in the mirror and I'm like, who are you, dude?"

World of Meatballs

This week's Main Dish Challenge continues the international theme. The recruits are tasked with making meatballs inspired by different countries around the globe.

Bobby's Mexican Meatballs

Chef Bobby demos a Mexican-spiced meatball, but each of his recruits will have a different country to represent as they go head-to-head against members of Chef Anne's team. Bobby gets them fired up: "We want to kick some Red Team ass!"

Surprise!

Chef Anne's recruits watch her demo of an Italian polpettine, but then learn that they'll be on their own to improvise versions from all over the world: "The direction your meatball will go will be up to you."

Bobby's Problem Student

Erica is complete chaos in the kitchen, and her assignment of Indian meatballs is not doing much to calm her nerves. "With Erica, it's a circus every time you turn around," says Bobby.

Stubborn Sherrill

Once again, Sherrill does not want to follow directions. She's feeling confident, despite being a tad confused about her assigned country: "Sweden was the safest for me. I have not been to Sweden but I know Sweden is in Switzerland. I feel great." In the end, her meatball doesn't taste great and Bobby sends her home.

Meatball Madness

Over on the Red Team, Rachel has issues setting up her meat grinder, which she calls a "medieval torture device." She is worried about her meatball so she takes a fork and tastes it after plating — and the judges get one with a bite taken out. That's just one of the many reasons Chef Anne had to send her home this week.

All Smiles

Vinnie takes his second win of the day for the Blue Team, and Dorothy scores one for the Red Team. She's ecstatic: "It feels good to finally do something right!"
