Steak Tips and Tricks for the Grill

  • Look for three things: freshness, even marbling and at least 1” thick.
  • Boldly season with salt, pepper, granulated onion powder & garlic powder.
  • Keep chilled before grilling to prevent overcooking. Especially for rare to medium steaks.


  • Don’t flip too soon. Get a seared crust first. Then, flip every few minutes.
  • Rotate your steak onequarter turn each time you flip it to create perfect diamond grill marks.
  • Use a digital meat thermometer to check doneness.


  • Always use tongs. Forks & prongs let flavorful juices escape.
  • Let it rest for 2-3 minutes to lock in flavor that’s worth the wait.
  • Eat. Enjoy. Repeat.

RARE 120°- 130°F

MEDIUM RARE 130°- 140°F (Optimal Temperature)

MEDIUM 140°- 150°F 

MEDIUM WELL 150°- 160°F 

WELL 160°- 170°F
