Ready, Set, Create!
In just a few, easy steps you can create this fun (edible!) craft.
Step 1: Cut Strips
Cut one Airheads in half crosswise and cut the halves into quarters lengthwise so there are eight strips.
Step 2: Roll Cylinders
Roll each strip into cylinders between your palms.
Step 3: Make the “Helix”
Form an “x” with two cylinders and press lightly in the center so that they stick together.
Step 4: Add to Cupcake
Place the “x” on top of an iced cupcake.
Step 5: Go Xtreme
For the next step, grab an Airheads Xtremes.
Step 6: Cut Short Strips
Cut the Airheads Xtremes crosswise into small segments.
Step 7: Nucleic Acids
Lay the segments inside the “x” to represent the nucleic acids.
Step 8: Line ‘Em Up
Arrange the cupcakes so that the strands appear to connect.
Step 9: Enjoy
Now you have a one-of-a-kind DNA strand!
