drambuie

Pronunciation: [dram-BOO-ee]

A scotch-based liqueur sweetened with heather honey and flavored with herbs. It has a deep golden color and sweet-spicy, herbal-whiskey flavor with licorice overtones. The word drambuie is Gaelic for "the drink that satisfies."
