Colonnade
It's the second oldest restaurant in Atlanta, but Chef Ryan Cobb is on the culinary cutting edge. Guy thought that the kangaroo filet with spicy sweet-and-sour sauce was reminiscent of sirloin. The knuckle sandwich filled with lobster and marinated tomatoes on a focaccia roll floored Guy.
Roast
As one of Iron Chef Michael Symon's cornerstone restaurants, Roast brings meat-centric cooking to the Motor City. One standout is the Beast of the Day — a delectable meat dish paired with autumn mostarda, an Italian condiment of candied fruits and mustard flavored syrup.
Lolita
Aarón Sánchez says the underrated Brussels sprouts take an "evil, decadent" turn at Lolita, where Iron Chef Michael Symon and Executive Chef James Mowcomber fry them in pork fat and then coat every leaf in citrusy shallot vinaigrette. It's a great lead-up to Lolita's pork chop.
