Good morning and hello from the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival! I'll be sharing some of the scene here on the Dish over the next few days, provided I don't pass out from all the deliciousness around me.

Last night started off at the sold out Guy Fieri's Cheesesteak Battle at Caesar's Palace. This was a big bold event just like you'd expect from Guy, with local competitors handing out cheesesteaks to a hungry crowd. Live music gave the Battle a great party vibe.  The 800-plus crowd voted and bragging rights went to local favorite Tony Boloney's.

After mingling with some great Guy fans and eating my weight in cheesesteaks, I headed down the boardwalk to Sammy's Beach Bar (yes, Sammy Hagar of Van Halen fame) for the Maker's Mark Cigar and Whiskey Gala. Directly on the beach, this was the place to end the night for everyone at the festival, including Next Food Network Star contestants Tom, Brad, Serena and Aarti.

I'm off to more events and more eating today. I can't wait to share all the fun we're having in Atlantic City. And yes, there will be delicious photos!
