Pat and Gina Neely will take the stage at the New York State Fair Sunday, September 4 to demonstrate their barbequing skills and emcee the Best Burger Contest hosted by the New York Beef Industry Council. The Neelys have been busy lately, having opened their first New York City restaurant, Neely’s Barbeque Parlor, last week. View the red carpet photos of the grand opening.

Melissa D’Arabian dished on meatless meals with PETA and was quick to point out that nearly all of her dishes can be made into a meatless version. Everything Melissa makes on Ten Dollar Dinners is something she has made in her own home. After winning the fifth season of Food Network Star and receiving a recipe package from PETA, she began cooking vegan for her family for 30 days and they didn’t notice much of a change. Try her Footloose and Fancy Free Falafel for a vegan recipe to please your own clan.

While appearing on Paula’s show before the election, First Lady Michelle Obama said if her husband was elected, she would invite Deen to the White House to cook. So what would Paula cook for the First Family? She recently told Parade Magazine, "I know the President loves hot wings, so I would do some with pepper-jelly glaze, watermelon salad to cut the heat and buttered French toast. For dessert, lemon meringue pie!”
