Geoffrey Zakarian to Host Food Talk Radio Show With Fellow Chefs

Having already conquered the professional kitchen as the chef-owner of two New York City restaurants — The Lamb’s Club and The National — and Kitchen Stadium as a member of the Chairman’s elite team of Iron Chefs, Geoffrey Zakarian is setting out to take over the radio airwaves, if only for just one night.
From 8pm-9pm EST tomorrow evening, Friday, March 15, Geoffrey can be heard on the SiriusXM Satellite Radio Stars Channel 107 chatting with an impressive roster of chefs, including Guy Fieri, Anne Burrell, Sunny Anderson, Andrew Zimmern, fellow Chopped judges Scott Conant and Marc Murphy, and more. These industry A-listers came together in Miami, Fla., during last month’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival, and FN Dish was on hand as the show was recorded live, poolside from The James Royal Palm Hotel.
What can you expect when these industry insiders — many of whom are personal friends in addition to being familiar professionally — sit down for one-on-ones during a weekend-long culinary extravaganza? Genuine laughs to be sure, but also plenty of eating and drinking (we caught Geoffrey sipping espresso and Marc snacking on a sandwich and fries before taping), a bit of good-natured joking, plus honest conversations about their culinary histories and experiences in restaurants and food television.

Admittedly a bit anxious about delving into the world of broadcasting, especially when tasked with interviewing radio experts like former disc jockey Sunny Anderson, Geoffrey rose to the occasion like a true champion, following time cues with ease and adapting to last-minute schedule changes seamlessly. “You’re big time!” Sunny told her host, as she noticed the stacks of notes he’d prepared for the show, as well as the dedicated technician standing guard over the sound system.
For what’s sure to be the most-deliciously entertaining hour of radio you’ll listen to this week, tune in to SiriusXM Satellite Radio Stars Channel 107 on Friday, March 15 from 8pm-9pm EST to hear from Geoffrey, find out what it’s like working on the Chopped set and get more insider coverage of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival.
