Camouflage Ice Cream: Now You See It, Now You Don't

It’s pretty easy to make a scoop of ice cream on a waffle cone disappear. (Slurp!) But to make it disappear before you eat it? Well, that takes a little more effort. Baskin-Robbins is apparently up for the challenge.
Just in time for Veterans Day, the ice cream specialty chain is introducing camouflage ice cream as the November flavor of the month, as well as a matching camouflage waffle cone and bowl and a layered sundae.
First Class Camouflage Ice Cream’s brown, tan and green color mix is a combo of chocolate, salty caramel and cake flavored ice creams. The taste, the company cutely contends, is “so delicious, you’ll never see it coming.”
The First Class Camouflage Layered Sundae, meanwhile, starts with the camo ice cream and then features hot fudge, a caramel praline topping, chopped Oreo cookie pieces and light whipped cream.
Baskin-Robbins has promised to donate 10 cents from each scoop of the specialty flavor sold in locations across the country to the USO, to help with its work on behalf of United States troops and veterans and their families.
It’s not often you get to help those who proudly serve our country by gobbling down a yummy scoop of ice cream. That’s clearly something worth saluting.
Now if only the geniuses who created these cool camo indulgences could make our ice-cream-plumped tummies disappear.
