You’re Going to LOVE Starbucks' Newest Fall Drink
Is maple the new pumpkin spice?

Not a fan of the PSL?! Shh … it’s okay. Really it is.
If you’ve spent the last decade secretly hiding your less-than-love for the world-famous Pumpkin Spice Latte from all your friends, you can finally let out a sigh of relief and let your true feelings be known. Your fave coffee chain is always innovating. And PSL haters, Starbucks’ latest innovation is one you’re really going to appreciate.
Even though fall has basically been a seasonal slam dunk for Starbucks since it first introduced the PSL all those years ago (it originally launched in 2003!), the mega-chain decided that this year, it would introduce a brand new drink to celebrate the official start of fall.
On the first real day of fall (last Friday), Starbucks rolled out the Maple Pecan Latte (or the MPL for short, obvs). The MPL consists of the brand’s signature espresso blend, a maple-pecan-flavored syrup with notes of brown butter (ooohh, so fancy, Sbux!), steamed milk, and — just for fun — is topped with a sprinkle of sanding sugar in festive fall colors (so cute!).
Even cuter? Playing off the success of a similar idea last spring, Starbucks is also rolling out some fun new fall cups in a fresh, jewel-toned color palette that’s just right for the season.
A tall MPL will set you back 270 calories if you have it made with the standard 2 percent milk — though obviously, you can customize this baby however you want, just like the rest of the coffee chain’s menu. And if you can’t wait to try this seasonal drink … well, you don’t have to. It’s available now at Starbucks stores across the U.S. and Canada.
