Eggnog Vodka Is Here to Make Your Spirits Bright

It's just the thing to take the edge off the holiday season.

Sometimes we all need a little something extra to get us through the holidays. And if your mom’s family-friendly eggnog won’t quite do the trick, a vodka company named Three Olives has your back with a limited-edition Eggnog Vodka.

Three Olives, a premium vodka imported from England, even offers one-hour delivery in some areas around the U.S., which sounds like it would come in right handy when you’ve reached the end of your rope with your opinionated Aunt Edna or overly boisterous Uncle Fred, visiting for the holiday festivities. (Someone please pour me a double!)

The Eggnog Vodka’s nose is “a light butterscotch with notes of baked nutmeg,” according to the Three Olives website. It tastes of whipped cream and the slowly emerging flavors of allspice and cinnamon, with “undertones of orange peel and caramel.” Yum.

As for the finish, you can look forward to “a light woody clove and vanilla pod.”

It sounds as if it would make for good sipping enjoyed neat – and would most certainly get you in the holiday spirit – but Three Olives, which offers a line of flavored vodkas ranging from berry to birthday cake, also suggests a cocktail in which it is a prominent feature. The recipe for its Sleigh Ride is two parts Eggnog Vodka to one part half-and-half plus a little honey, if you like, served over ice in a rocks glass with sprinkle of grated nutmeg.
