You already know that Snoop Dogg can cook — the rapper pals around with Martha Stewart in the Emmy-nominated cooking show, “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.” But now he’s taking his culinary prowess to new heights by releasing his very first cookbook — and it’s unlike any cookbook you’ve seen before. (It includes not one, but two, recipes for gin and juice, for starters.)

From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen,” is organized by both meals and occasions, with recipes for everything from a fried bologna sandwich (topped with potato chips, naturally) to lobster thermidor — which Snoop serves whole so his guests can “all get it crackin’ together.”

Plus, the Doggfather also includes lists of his kitchen essentials (Snoop loves his hot sauce) and need-to-visit restaurants in Los Angeles and New York City. And don’t think Snoop’s forgotten his musical roots — every section of the book is accompanied by a “Beats and Bites” playlist to crank up while cooking.

Though Snoop may not have included any, ahem, herbal recipes this time around, he did provide roundups of must-have snacks for when he’s feeling particularly, y’know, munchy. Oh, and as for Martha? Don’t worry — the domestic goddess makes an appearance or two in the book as well.

“From Crook to Cook” is available on October 23. Check it out here.
