Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott Pours Sugar on Everything
Because sugar makes everything better.

Everything's better with sugar on it. And if you need proof, check out this suh-weet video promoting Def Leppard's summer tour and the online availability of the band's music catalog.
In it, frontman Joe Elliott winks at the British heavy metal band's hit song "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by heaping sugar on everything from a cup of coffee to a puppy. (Such a cute puppy!)
"Everybody loves cake," says Elliott in the video, pulling out a diminutive, tasty-looking cupcake.
"It looks pretty good, but it could be better," Elliott says. "I think it's time to – "
"Pour some sugar!" chants an unseen chorus.
"Razzle and a dazzle 'n' a flash a little light," the musician says, decanting some sparkly white granulated sugar in order to – ta da! – turn the cupcake into a colorful multi-tiered cake decorated with American flag and Union Jack guitar picks.
"Now that's sweet," he says.
Elliott pulls the same stunt on a burger (instant roast beef!), a red rose (bouquet!), and various other items, including the aforementioned stuffed-animal-into-adorable puppy trick. (Awww, indeed.)
Signing off, Elliott says, "Until next time — and there will be a next time."
Here's hoping, for safety's sake, that the next one isn't inspired by the Def Leppard album Pyromania ...
