Papa John’s Garlic Sauce Is Now Available in Gallon Jugs
Because some people can’t get enough of the stuff.
The people who love Papa John’s garlic sauce REALLY love Papa John’s garlic sauce.
“I LOVE Papa John's garlic sauce!! I think I could practically drink the stuff!” wrote Genius Kitchen contributor @Manda, who posted a DIY recipe for PAPA JOHN'S GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE that other contributors to the recipe-sharing site have rated an average of 4.5 stars.
“I love Papa John's garlic dipping sauce and will get hostile if someone thinks they can take them all and leave none for me!” one of those other contributors, @MrsKnox2016, confessed.
Another recipe reviewer, @Alexis Brooke, shared that she uses Papa John’s garlic sauce not only as a dip for pizza crust, but “for a completely different purpose: hamburger condiment. Papa John's garlic sauce is absolutely *perfect* for hamburgers.”
So, you know, even those of us who’ve never even considered dipping a perfectly good as-is pizza crust in a combo of buttery-oily-salty-garlickyness (or sloshing it on our burgers) can see that devotion to the sauce is clearly a thing – and that some people would apparently drink the stuff by the gallon if given half a chance.
Well, now those people have the chance.
Papa John’s has just announced that it is making its “iconic garlic sauce” available for purchase in XL jugs starting this Friday, May 11.
“This is not a drill. Papa John’s garlic sauce lovers now have the opportunity to incorporate their beloved garlic sauce into every meal. So whether you’re dipping a slice of Papa John’s pepperoni ‘za or whatever else you like to douse in a golden bath of deliciousness (no judgment), Papa John’s has got you covered,” a spokesperson for the brand told FN Dish via email.
The limited-edition gallon-jugs of garlic sauce will sell for $20 and will be available, for a limited time, “in select cities” and online, the pizza chain says.
Papa John’s is also selling other branded garlic-sauce-related merchandise, like T-shirts, but, alas, as of this writing, no XL packets of breathmints.
