Even Victoria Beckham Enjoys Cutting Loose with a Cocktail

Sure, she eats super healthy, but she also likes to "have fun," she says.

The world has had its fun snickering over Victoria Beckham’s super-low-calorie eating habits. There was the time we all giggled about the fact that her go-to snack was a single carrot. (Yup, just one.) Not to mention that birthday she celebrated with a “cake” that was actually not cake at all, but rather a watermelon cut into the shape of a cake and decorated with strawberries, blueberries and a white candle.

But the super-slim fashion designer and former Spice Girl would like you to know that, while she definitely makes a point of eating lots of fruits, veggies and fresh fish and drinking a ton of water, she’s not above the cutting loose with an occasional cocktail from time to time.

“I try to be really, really healthy,” Beckham recently clarified during a segment on This Morning on ITV in the U.K. “I expect a lot of myself with my body” – raising four children and working hard.

But, she added, “I’m not saying I don’t have fun. I’ve been known to drink a few tequilas or a few red wines. I think it’s important to get that balance right.

It’s good to eat healthily and work out, she said, “but then having fun I think is super, super important.”

In other words, balance is what she wants, what she really, really wants.
