Sorry, night-prowling Filet-O-Fish fans and McChicken eaters: You’ll soon have to make another choice on your midnight McDonald’s run.
The fast-food chain has announced plans to streamline its late-night menu to include only its most popular items – purportedly to speed service.
“We always want our customers’ experiences to be simple, smooth and delicious—any time of day,” McDonald’s said in its announcement about the change. “That means, day and night, we’re always looking for ways to serve them even better.”
That also means that, starting April 30, hungry people who arrive at 24-hour McDonald’s nationwide will be able to choose only from the following options: Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, Chicken McNuggets, All Day Breakfast items, Happy Meals, fries and other sides, “Sweets & Treats,” and McCafé and beverages.
Don’t ask for a salad.
Also, don’t worry about not being able to get your favorite non-Late-Night-menu-bound items at other times of day.
They “aren’t going anywhere!” McDonald’s reassures. “They’ll still be available before midnight.”
