Ariana Grande Discovers Allergy to THIS Fruit

This is tragic.

By: Allison Underhill

Ariana Grande has seen plenty of highs and lows over the past year — ahem, Pete Davidson — but just when things were looking up, she unexpectedly announced she was postponing two concert appearances on her “Sweetener” tour due to an illness.

The culprit? A tomato allergy.

Grande confirmed the surprising allergyin a soundless Instagram video featuring her rescue pup, Toulouse.

“Update: we discovered ..... that ..... i hadan unfortunate allergic reaction to tomatoes and my throat pretty much closed. still feels like i’m swallowing a cactus but slowly making progress!” she wrote.

Grande added that the discovery is especially disappointing considering her Italian heritage. The “7 Rights” singer is Italian-American with Sicilian and Abruzzese roots.

“p.s. there is NOTHING MORE UNFAIR THAN AN ITALIAN WOMAN DEVELOPING AN ALLERGY TO TOMATOES IN HER MID TWENTIES,” she exclaimed.

Luckily, Grande’s postponed shows have been rescheduled for November of this year. But for now...tomatoes? Marinara sauce? PIZZA? Thank u, next.
