It's easy to love multipurpose kitchen gadgets. (If it can make a daily task simpler, it's a must!) So it's really no surprise that the Instant Pot — the all-in-one slow cooker, pressure cooker and stove-top stand-in — has taken the culinary world by storm.

But if you're part of the Instant Pot community you also know that not all Instant Pot recipes are, well, instant. Some require a bit of extra prep work; others cook for an hour or more. Now, it's definitely worth saving those recipes. (Weekends and not-hectic weeknights do exist!) But they're just not what you need when you're trying to fit it all in.

These five recipes, though? They definitely are.

This chili features a depth of flavor you will crave, thanks to a touch of instant coffee. (Unsweetened cocoa powder works too!) Even better, you can sit down to a "tastes like it was simmering all afternoon" dinner in only 40 minutes.

This dish is literally layered with flavor: Put the potatoes in the bottom of the Instant Pot, then place the steam rack over the potatoes and add the salmon. Once the salmon is cooked through, remove it from the steamer, continue to cook the potatoes till they're soft and sizzling, then add the nutritious greens. You'll have an insanely delicious meal in just 30 minutes.

Juicy chicken thighs, fluffy rice and marinated cucumbers in just 40 minutes is great, but add unsweetened coconut milk to the mix and you get a super creamy sauce that elevates the entire meal.

If you think risotto is only for weekends, think again. Your Instant Pot does all the work — and you can take all the credit for this restaurant-worthy dinner that's ready in only 40 minutes.
