Imagine getting ready to bite into a nice, juicy steak, only to find out that it’s ice cream! That’s the trick behind this realistic-looking chocolate ice cream steak — with a side of pound cake French fries. As an added touch, serve some “ketchup,” which is really strawberry jam, alongside. It’ll be a pleasant surprise for dessert lovers.

Your kids will be in for a treat (literally) when they realize what these crab cakes are made of: ice cream and coconut! The white bread cubes and shredded coconut are made to look like a crispy crust, while the side of “tartar sauce” is actually pistachio-white chocolate sauce. Your treat? The look on their faces when they bite into one!

This recipe will allow your creativity to shine! Use rice cereal treats as sticky rice (and a beautiful assortment of gummy candies as raw fish and seaweed) to fill your plate with this sweet sushi. Served with some chocolate soy sauce, this recipe looks like the real thing, which makes it perfect for a nice, “gotcha” moment.

To get the look of a wax-coated wheel of cheese, cover a rounded-edge layer cake with red fondant — and disguise the sliced edge with pale yellow frosting. The added touch that takes this over the top: sugared grapes. Talk about a sweet surprise!
