I’m past the point of elaborate baking projects. (Been there done that sourdough.) Anything that breaks up the monotony of our Groundhog Day-like routine with minimal effort is a major win in my book.

So, when I was introduced to Waffle Wow products, I was ecstatic. Waffle Wow is a line of waffle irons that make waffles in fun shapes from two-bite 3D cars and trucks to mini emojis and even giant double-sided unicorns and narwhals. It’s the kind of tool I need right now — an impressive end result that brings joy without spending hours in the kitchen. Plus, it makes a meal my kids love.

The Waffle Wow machines work just like your typical waffle irons, get it hot, add some non-stick spray or butter and put your waffle batter into the grids. You can use premade waffle mix or make your own. Switch it up with buttermilk or chocolate batter, too.

I found that using a squeeze/condiment bottle made for a less messy and easier way to distribute the batter. Just cut off the tip to allow more room for your batter to flow through. You can also use a piping bag if you have one lying around. Once the waffles are ready you simply use a plastic or wooden spatula to gently remove them.

Being a mom of two boys, our favorite was the building brick waffle maker that allows you to actually make Lego-like waffle bricks you can build with. You can get super creative by adding different food coloring to your squeeze bottles for different colored bricks or just have your kids (or yourself!) go to town adding their own toppings to the buildings they create. Dare I say this actually kept my boys occupied for a few minutes while I enjoyed my coffee. After all, it’s not every day that we encourage our kids to play with their food!

There can also be epic battles with the dinos or a syrup speedway for the race cars, or even a fun underwater (or whipped cream!) adventure with the sea creatures.

The cook time varies but is generally around three to five minutes per batch of waffles, which means you can get them on the table before or shortly after you hear someone yell, “I’m hungrrrryyy.”

Cleaning was simple, too. Just wait until the machine cools and wipe it down. It was so easy that I may even go as far to say that this could be a special weekday breakfast too. Maybe.

Waffle Wow machines can be purchased on Amazon. Check out the Waffle Wow website for more information on variety available.
