What to Watch: Recipe Inspiration and the Premiere of Chopped All-Stars

This weekend, Food Network has new episodes from Paula, Ree, Ina and Jeff, plus new episodes of the competition shows Cupcake Wars and Iron Chef America and the premiere of Chopped All-Stars (watch a preview of the episode above).
First, on Saturday morning, Paula is joined in the kitchen by KC from KC and the Sunshine Band to cook up healthy versions of some roadside favorites. Then Ree and the kids are putting together a care package for Grandma Edna. Later, Ina's taking inspiration from local food in the Hamptons to come up with recipes for her blog. On Sunday morning, Jeff is making diner sandwiches inspired by a recent visit to a local sandwich shop.
On Sunday evening, tune in for a weird episode of Cupcake Wars where the bakers must compete for a chance to cater an event for "Weird Al" Yankovic. Afterward watch the premiere of Chopped All-Stars as stars from Food Network and Cooking Channel compete in Round 1 for a spot in the finale and $50,000 for charity. Then it's an episode of Iron Chef America with Jose Garces vs. Russell Jackson.
Paula's in the kitchen with family friend KC from KC and the Sunshine Band. They're putting a healthy spin on some roadside favorites like Grilled Portobello Mushroom Burgers With Dill Mustard Sauce, Fresh Corn Fritters and Mama's Acorn Squash. Finally, KC and Paula whip up KC's Shake Shake to go along with Paula's Cinnamon-Scented Pound Cake.
Ladd's grandmother Edna Mae is turning 89 so Ree and the kids have a special surprise planned for her. They're putting together a birthday care package with all her favorite foods: Roast Chicken, Cauliflower Soup With Toasted Crackers and a stunning Blueberry Italian Cream Cake.
Ina is taking inspiration from local foods in the Hamptons to come up with recipes to share with her readers on her blog. She's making Salmon and Guacamole Sandwiches, Salted Caramel Brownies and Balsamic Roasted Beet Salad.
Inspired by Chicago's Moon’s Sandwich Shop, Jeff reinvents two diner classics. First, he's making The B.L.D., a short rib sandwich on a croissant with a fried egg, and second, The Playa's Club with maple-glazed roast turkey and pancetta on challah bread. Along with the sandwiches, he's making some Homemade Sour Cream and Onion Chips.
It's going to get a little weird in the Cupcake Wars kitchen. Four competitors will attempt to bake their way to an exclusive book release party for iconic comedian and guest judge "Weird Al" Yankovic.
In this first competition of the celebrity tournament, fans of Food Network and Cooking Channel get to see some of their favorite stars in action, competing for a chance in the finale and $50,000 for the charity of their choice. For one chef, the appetizer round turns into a mad dash to beat the clock. In the entree round, the competitors are confronted with a very fishy ingredient. The dessert basket has marshmallows and coconut flakes.
Iron Chef Jose Garces faces off against challenger Russell Jackson, aka "The Dissident Chef." Judges for this battle are John T. Edge, Anya Fernald and José Andrés.
