What to Watch: Ree's Make-Ahead Meals, Bridal Cupcake Wars and Battle Oktoberfest on Iron Chef America

This weekend, Food Network has a bunch of new shows to set you up for wonderful weekly meals and must-see competitions and battles to celebrate the fall season.
On Saturday morning, tune in to The Pioneer Woman as Ree shows off her favorite make-ahead meals. Then on Heartland Table, Amy is inspired by the outdoors to create a wonderful menu. On Cupcake Wars, bakers create cupcakes for a bridal bash. And on a special Iron Chef America, Iron Chefs Michael Symon and Geoffrey Zakarian team up against Chef Bernhard Mairinger in Battle Oktoberfest.
On Sunday morning, Rachael makes a week's worth of recipes that put a modern spin on classic dishes. Then at night, tune in for Halloween Wars as the teams eerily reimagine fairytales that will leave you with nightmares. And on a new episode of Cutthroat Kitchen, one chef is forced to make a pie with only a pie server.
It's make-ahead marvel time at the Drummond ranch. First, Ree's making Hot Corn Chile Dip, perfect for a teen pool party. Then she prepares Drip Beef Sandwiches, a huge hit for a hungry ranch crew. And last, Meat Sauce, the secret to so many fabulous feasts. Getting ahead has never been so easy and delicious.
Amy Thielen celebrates everything outdoors as her neighbors bring back the freshest catch in order for her to prepare a crispy Skinned Trout with Butter Sauce. Amy's garden provides the inspiration behind a Green Salad with Brown Butter Balsamic Walnut Vinaigrette and Sheep's Milk Cheese. For grilling, Amy prepares skewers of tomatoes, onion, bacon and bread, which she will serve alongside a ripe cheddar aged in a cave by cheesemaker friend Willi Lehner of Bleu Mont Dairy.
Four teams of mother-daughter bakers fight to have their delicious cupcakes at the center of a Los Angeles bridal bash, hosted by legendary high-end wedding planner Kristin Banta. The winner will walk away with $10,000.
Iron Chefs Michael Symon and Geoffrey Zakarian go face-to-face with a team of Austro-German chefs led by Bernhard Mairinger — Executive Chef at BierBeisl in Beverly Hills — to celebrate this Bavarian holiday. Judges are Valerie Bertinelli, Karine Bakhoum and Eugene Remm.
Rachael gives the iconic American foods we all grew up with a modern day makeover. Her recipes include Meatloaf Meatballs with Horseradish Mash and Gravy, Cream of Celery Soup with Deviled Ham Toasts, Jeanette's Famous Broccoli and Crouton Casserole, French Onion Dip Soup with Dijon and Gruyere Croutons, and Chicken a la King.
Four remaining teams made up of an expert pumpkin carver, cake decorator and sugar artist go to battle to create mind-blowing Halloween-themed displays of a twisted version of a fairytale. At the end of the battle, one team will be eliminated. The special guest judge is Tony Todd, horror legend and star of Candyman!
The competition gets rolling when one chef has to wear oven mitts to roll up his burrito. Then a chef gets "served" as he or she deals with creating the perfect pie using a pie server as the only tool. Finally, it's a jungle out there in the teriyaki bowl challenge when one contestant is forced to harvest water from whole coconuts.
