Deep-fried dishes have been all over the map on DDD. You won't want to miss these fried beauties, from classics like the fried chicken sandwich at Show Dogs, fish and chips from Mac's Fish & Chip Shop, and the chicharrones that Guy went bananas over at Highland Tavern to the righteous lobster pups at Rizzo's Diner and deep-fried bacon at Tupelo's. And something you never had in your school lunches — fried peanut butter and jelly at South Philadelphia Tap Room. This is a fully fried hour of all-out righteousness.

On DDD, Guy has seen it all, and he has the scoop on the some of the wackiest and wildest joints out there, like R&R Taqueria serving up real-deal tacos out of a gas station, the church-turned-brewpub Clarkston Union serving up a divine lobster mac 'n' cheese, the silver-bullet food truck for Fresh, Local, Wild on Fisherman's Wharf cranking out seafood fries and The Duce, an old boxing gym, dishing out scratch-made comfort food. It gets even more ridiculous at the Taco Bus, a real-deal bus pulling out all the stops for Mexican food, and the funky DJ/breakfast spot housed in a basement called Funk 'n’ Waffles putting its spin on waffles. These joints may be wacky, but the food is off the chain.

There's a long list of off-the-chain barbecue joints in the DDD history books, and Guy's handpicked some of his all-time favorites. Guy has visited lots of killer joints in New York and we've rounded up some of the best bites in the Big Apple. You can't visit New York City without having old-school Italian at John's of 12th Street or traditional Jewish favorites at Ben's Best Kosher Deli. And no one does classic NYC sandwiches like Defonte's.
