This weekend, grilling season is in full swing on Food Network. Start your Saturday with new episodes of The Pioneer Woman, Farmhouse Rules and The Kitchen. Ree grills up a meal for her family. Afterward, Nancy and David are hosting a cookout. And on The Kitchen, the co-hosts offer up their top grilling tips.
The grilling theme continues on Sunday morning as Damaris grills a week's worth of ingredients on Southern at Heart. Afterward, Giada is making a California-inspired backyard feast on Giada at Home. And Guy gets grilling some of his favorite dishes on Guy's Big Bite.
On Sunday night, tune in for an epic night of competition. First, Food Network Star alumni enter the competition on Guy's Grocery Games. Right after, it's the Season 10 premiere of Food Network Star as 12 budding hopefuls vie for their own show on the network. Then the tables get turned on the Cutthroat Kitchen judges, who now face off against one another. And finally, watch a new episode of Kitchen Casino.
It's fires on the ranch and flames in the kitchen as Ree grills up a rib-sticking dinner for the family after an afternoon burning grass on the prairie. They enjoy a Grilled Chicken Slider Bar, Grilled Potato Bundles, Grilled Corn and Bell Pepper Butter, and Blackberry Pot Pies with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
Nancy and David are hosting a cookout. Nancy heads to town to get delicious chocolate candies for her Grilled Banana Boats dessert. They're a sweet treat that follows their dinner of Grilled Salt and Pepper-Crusted Rib Eye and Garlicky Green Salad. After the cookout, the family enjoys Creamy Orange Soda Floats as they release flying lanterns into the sky.
This episode is all about grilling. Geoffrey shows how to grill a cowboy steak to perfection while the hosts give their top grilling tips. Katie grills pizza two ways and Sunny shows how to spatchcock a whole chicken for the grill while the hosts cover viewers' grill food fails. The gang cooks up green beans four ways, and Geoffrey mixes up a bonfire cocktail.
Every Sunday, Damaris lights up the grill and fires off ingredients to last the week; this week, she's grilled off jalapeno peppers and strawberries. She uses the peppers as a base for a Compound Butter to top her Pan-Seared Pork Chops that she dresses alongside her Perfect Cornbread. The grilled strawberries are the basic element in her mouthwatering Barbecue Sauce Baked Beans. Grill once and have flame-kissed flavor all week long.
Giada De Laurentiis makes three California-inspired recipes in an episode that culminates with a backyard feast with friends. The menu features California Lettuce Cups, Gorgonzola Burgers and Lemon Angel Food Cupcake with Lemon Curd and Mascarpone Frosting.
Whatever the weather, Guy Fieri loves to grill. Join Guy as he shares tips and stories about grilling, while preparing mouthwatering recipes like Grilled Beer Brats with Peppers and Onions, Grilled Apple and Cabbage Sauerkraut and Herbed Spaetzle.
Four Food Network Star chefs take to the aisles to compete on behalf of their favorite charity. First, Guy tasks them with making a lunchtime favorite using only 5 Ingredients or Less. Then, the chefs are challenged to make a steakhouse dinner — on a budget. The two finalists compete in one of the most difficult games yet, One Ingredient Per Aisle, in which they pull out all the stops to make the best dish for a good cause.
Twelve hopefuls arrive in Los Angeles to compete for the ultimate prize: their own show on Food Network. The finalists meet mentors Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay, who help prepare them for their big debut at a Hollywood premiere party, where each contestant must prepare and present one party appetizer to Food Network executives Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson as well as Hollywood insiders, including E!'s Ross Mathews, who help decide which contestants have a shot at becoming a Food Network Star. One finalist's dream ends here, and the remaining 11 continue their Star journey.
The tables are turned in this special "judges compete" episode of Cutthroat Kitchen. Someone's tortillas are shredded to make taquitos. Then, two chefs are forced to purchase tickets to a meatball lottery. Finally, we see how easy it is for these chefs to cook with one hand literally tied behind their back.
In round one, four chefs need all the luck they can get when the slot machine lands on coconut, Greek and backyard barbecue. In chef roulette, the three remaining chefs must make a bass their own. In the final round, the two remaining chefs gamble with strange dairy and exotic fruit in hopes of going to the winner's wheel for a $30,000 spin.
