It's time to celebrate on Food Network this weekend with recipes for every kind of summer extravaganza.
On Saturday, join Ree Drummond as she prepares a Chinese take-out-themed menu on The Pioneer Woman. Next, Nancy Fuller plans a birthday surprise for Bailey on Farmhouse Rules, and the hosts of The Kitchen are brainstorming recipes for every type of outdoor bash.
On Sunday, Bobby Flay works the grill by creating lighter versions of your favorite summer staples on Barbecue Addiction: Bobby's Basics, and Guy Fieri makes a lamb treat worth drooling over on Guy's Big Bite. Then tune in for three hours of all-new competition with episodes of Guy's Grocery Games, Food Network Star and Cutthroat Kitchen.
Ree's cooking up a takeout treat for her girls by making a surprise dinner of their favorite Chinese food, complete with Cream Cheese Wontons, Orange Chicken, Beef with Broccoli and stir-fried Chow Mein.
Nancy's granddaughter Bailey is turning 7 and Nancy's planned an exciting petting zoo to celebrate. On the menu are Chicken Parmesan Sticks, Broccoli with Cheddar Cheese Sauce and Vanilla Birthday Cake with Chocolate Frosting.
Special guest Daniel Radcliffe stops by The Kitchen for the Summer Party show, and plays the co-hosts' first game of Build-A-Burger! The gang has tips and recipes for summer party entertaining, including Katie's incredible grilled low country shrimp boil. Design guru Sabrina Soto gussies up the patio and shares DIY projects to make your next outdoor party a hit. Plus, Geoffrey Zakarian taps into a refreshing Watermelon Cosmo Punch that'll be the hit of your next summer bash.
Chef Bobby proves there's more to grilling than just burgers and hot dogs. His light and healthy menu features Grilled Halibut finished with a flavorful drizzle of citrus-brown butter vinaigrette, a versatile grilled veggie and bread salad tossed in an herb dressing, and crunchy chilled green beans with basic vinaigrette. And to get the party started, Blackberry Shooters!
Guy Fieri has a real cast of characters over for a cook-off, and the first challenge is Guy's Grilled Lamb Chops with Charmoula, coated in a toasted spice rub, slow-roasted over a bed of onions, then finished on the grill with a rich pan sauce. If your mouth is watering now, just wait until you try the lamb with Apricot Mint Chimichurri, a bright, sweet-savory herb sauce that takes those ribs to the next level. On the side, how about some Smashed Tri-Color Potatoes? Baked under a layer of Parmesan cheese, they're creamy inside, but golden and crispy on top.
The chefs must dig through Clearance Carts to make comfort food with mislabeled meats and unmarked cans. Next, the chefs' strengths are put to the test, as they carry as many items as they can to make breakfast for dinner. With two chefs left, their fate is in the spin: The Food Wheel decides what components will be used in each chef's best dish.
The finalists are challenged with creating dishes that represent them, and each finalist must describe his or her dish to guests at a pool party at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The Selection Committee decides who did the best overall and sends one finalist home.
Three chefs discover that the great wall isn't as spacious as they'd like it to be. One chef's cooking tools get swapped out for a set of golf clubs while another chef dunks doughnuts into coffee like he or she never has before.
