Fan Favorites: Your Picks for the Best. BBQ. Ever.

FN Dish asked fans this week to share their top picks for authentic barbecue ahead of the premiere of Best. BBQ. Ever., and if readers' responses are any indication, allegiances to regional favorites are strong. From coast to coast, fans spoke out for the little-known and well-documented hot spots near them, including a few of the classics showcased by chefs on Best. BBQ. Ever. Read on below to check out fans' top 'cue joints, including Atlanta native Ty Pennington's spot for mouthwatering ribs, then find out where you can enjoy the stars' picks from the show.
For Ty, it's all about the ribs at Fat Matt's Rib Shack, as he explains, "They make a mighty fine slab!"

JohnPII said he was "happy" after a couple of his go-to spots — Franklin BBQ and Smoque — were featured on air.

In the Carolinas, Scott's BBQ took the cake, while some passionate writers favored Pig and Grits in North Carolina.

On Facebook, Jessica added her loyalty to North Carolina 'cue, calling the pulled pork there "the ONLY BBQ."

Perhaps the largest show of support was for a spot in Kansas City, Kan.: Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Q. "You can't go wrong," Jill shared on Facebook.

Not to be forgotten, fans in the North weren't shy about standing up for the smoky meats coming out of Connecticut, in particular at Bear's Smokehouse.

In their posts on FN Dish, Cat M. and Sam shared why so many restaurants garner fan support. "Everyone has a favorite — and most of them really are incredible," Cat said of the 'cue scene in Memphis. Sam, too, noted that when it comes to enjoying the ultimate barbecue, it may be necessary to seek out a few different places.
