A whole new cast of culinary misfits is entering Season 8 of Worst Cooks in America, which premieres Sunday, Jan. 3 at 9|8c. Five-time winner Anne, mentoring the Red Team, will once again go up against the Blue Team's Tyler as each leads home cooks through intense challenges to train them to become better cooks in the kitchen. The single contestant who gains the most skills and makes the most-impressive transformation will be awarded a $25,000 grand prize, in addition to gaining bragging rights for his or her coach.

In the season premiere, Anne and Tyler will be confronted with some of the worst cooks they've ever seen during an open casting call. After choosing 14 recruits for Boot Camp, they will task each recruit with making a signature dish and then choose teams. Later Anne and Tyler will attempt to teach their recruits how to cook a well-balanced dinner. The two who aren't up to the task will be eliminated, and each week two more recruits will be eliminated until only two are left to compete in a final cook-off, judged by a panel of culinary experts.
