It’s the season of celebrations, so this weekend all your favorite chefs have celebratory meals planned to inspire your get-togethers. First, Ree Drummond is cooking a stick-to-your-ribs anniversary meal for her husband Ladd and their family, complete with prime rib, hasselback potatoes and country bread with honey butter. After that, Emeril Lagasse is stopping by The Kitchen to demonstrate how to make a perfect rack of lamb for the holidays. What’s more, the co-hosts are sharing tips on how to dress up a store-bought gingerbread house. And on a new Valerie’s Home Cooking, Valerie Bertinelli is preparing a 5-star Italian dinner for French chef Ludo Lefebvre and his wife, including panzanella and branzino.
On Sunday morning, Giada De Laurentiis is throwing a gingerbread-house party for her daughter, Jade, and her friends and serving S’mores Popcorn, Pizza Grilled Cheese and Hot Chocolate Affogatos. Next, Bobby Flay is preparing a brunch of baked chimichangas and Pumpkin-Ricotta Pancakes. Then, Ina Garten shares all of her holiday tips on her special, A Barefoot Holiday, including all-new recipes for a Christmas Eve lunch and a festive midnight feast. On Sunday night, Grocery Games’ Tournament of Champions returns, followed by an all-new Holiday Baking Championship and Cutthroat Kitchen.
It's Ree and her husband Ladd's anniversary, so to celebrate she's cooking a meal for the whole family. She prepares a fabulous Prime Rib for Five with Chimichurri Sauce, along with sides of Colorado Wedge Salad with Buttermilk Dressing, crispy Hasselback Potatoes and Rustic Country Bread with Honey Butter.
Emeril Lagasse stops by to make a holiday Rack of Lamb with Apple-Mint Puree. Then the co-hosts show how to take holiday parties up a notch with Katie Lee's Christmas Tree Cheese Ball and Marcela Valladolid's Snowman Cheese Ball. They also share two ways to serve ham for the holidays, the quickest tricks to create a classic yule log cake and new tips for decorating a store-bought gingerbread house.
Valerie creates a 5-star Italian dinner for French chef Ludo Lefebvre and his wife, Krissy. On the menu are Classic Panzanella, Corn and Cauliflower Sauteed in Bourbon Butter, Baked Branzino with Citrus Gremolata and Buttery Manhattans.
Giada De Laurentiis treats her daughter, Jade, and her friends to a fun-filled party where the kids each make their own unique gingerbread house. She serves fun kids' treats like S'mores Popcorn, Pizza Grilled Cheese, Veggie Forest with Parmesan Ranch Dip and Hot Chocolate Affogatos.
Bobby is getting in the holiday spirit with comforting dishes like Baked Chimichangas with Smoky Black Beans topped with an Avocado-Tomato-Watercress Salsa, and fluffy Pumpkin-Ricotta Pancakes drizzled with a Spiced Apple Caramel Sauce. Then, he's toasting to holiday cheer with a batch of Orange-Cranberry Margaritas!
It's the week before the holidays, and Ina Garten and her husband, Jeffrey, are on a getaway in the Berkshires with friends, kicking off the festive season with a great winter weekend of food and snowy fun. Then, on Christmas Eve back in East Hampton, Ina's throwing a fabulous Berkshires-inspired lunch for friends, and the holiday magic happens with a festive midnight feast for two.
Four returning champs battle it out for more money and a spot in the Tournament of Champions finale. First, the chefs must use both their cooking and their spelling skills to make an adventurous lunch using only ingredients that begin with the letter M. Next, the champions are challenged to make their best dish fusing the flavors of Greece and China!
Regifting is the theme of the week, as the five remaining bakers must make a candy apple dessert inspired by a candy apple gift, then figure out how turn the contents of a traditional gift basket into a delicious dessert.
An old trend makes a comeback as one chef planks while making crab cake Benedict. One chef has to make a gyro while spinning around on a giant spit. Finally, one chef has to make rhubarb pie in a pi pan.
