Before a new Food Network Star is crowned this weekend, catch up on all the mouthwatering dishes your old favorites are making. First up on Saturday, Trisha Yearwood is hosting a pizza-and-movie night on the season premiere of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. She’s keeping things simple but delicious with sweet Malted Milk Fudge and Basil Pesto Pizza. Up next, it’s bacon everything when Valerie Bertinelli plans dinner for her friend Jo Stougaard, a bacon aficionado. On the menu is Jalapeno-Stuffed Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp, with salty-sweet Bacon Caramel Scuffins for dessert. After, Patricia Heaton is throwing a poolside luau party complete with tropical flavors like Macadamia Coconut Shrimp and Tropical Fruit Pops.
Then on Sunday, Giada De Laurentiis is back in Florence for the season premiere of Giada in Italy. She heads straight to the market and with her finds puts out a Northern Italian lunch for her friends, including Bruschetta and Marinated Bistecca Fiorentina. After that, it’s a class reunion on Guy’s Grocery Games as four chefs from Season 2 of Food Network Star reunite 10 years later. The alums will have to impress Guy Fieri with a 5-star dish made from a list of ingredients he picked specifically for them. After that, the three finalists on Food Network Star will watch their pilots with Giada and Bobby Flay, and a new Food Network Star will be crowned.
Trisha invites the guys over for pizza and a movie. She starts off by making Malted Milk Fudge, and then her nephew, Kyle, helps her make an Italian Seven-Layer Dip. After that, she teaches her cowboy tour manager, Chuck, how to make a Basil Pesto Pizza.
Valerie’s longtime friend, Jo — a food blogger and major authority on the deliciousness of bacon — is coming over, so Valerie's bringing her A-game with an all-bacon menu! She whips up Jalapeno-Stuffed Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp with Cherry Cola Barbecue Sauce, a Tomato Salad with Pancetta Crisps and a balsamic dressing, and for dessert, Bacon Caramel Scuffins topped with Caramel Clotted Cream.
Patricia is lounging poolside with her friends — actress Amy Aquino and her husband, Drew McCoy, and actor Diedrich Bader and his wife, Dulcy Rogers — for her luau-inspired party. One bite of Patty's Pulled Pork Sliders, Macadamia Coconut Shrimp and Tropical Fruit Pops, and you'll be instantly transported to the white-sand beaches of Hawaii!
Giada arrives in Florence, Italy, and heads straight to the local market, where she shops and introduces the local cuisine. She celebrates the hearty Northern Italian food by preparing a Tuscan-style lunch to share with friends visiting from the United States. Giada's menu includes her spin on Bistecca alla Fiorentina, White Beans and Cavalo Nero, and a bottle of local Chianti, topped off with a classic Tuscan dessert of biscotti and sweet wine.
Four chefs from Guy’s winning season of Food Network Star reunite in Flavortown 10 years later. First, the Star alums must create a 5-star dish using a very special list of ingredients compiled by Guy. The chefs are then hit with a special delivery from an unexpected guest. Finally, the chefs are asked to make a summer feast incorporating ingredients from the market's unpredictable sample tables.
After 10 grueling weeks of the toughest challenges on television, the final three watch their pilots with Giada and Bobby. One winner is selected and will go on to shoot his or her very own show on Food Network!
