Food is even better when it’s shared with family and friends, so tune in this weekend for crowd-pleasing recipe ideas and entertaining tips. First up on Saturday, Ree Drummond’s whipping up fried chicken sandwiches, blondies and snack mix for the crew working hard on her mercantile store. Next, the cast of The Kitchen is making all things wrapped and rolled, including burritos and spring rolls, and they’ll even give a tutorial on mastering the art of wrapping gifts. After that, Chef Alex Guarnaschelli stops by Valerie Bertinelli’s house for a Little Italy-inspired feast, complete with sausage and pepper sliders and homemade cannoli. Last, Patricia Heaton is throwing a reunion fiesta for the cast of Mom’s Night Out with festive eats, including bacon queso, homemade churros and smoky margaritas.

Then on Sunday, Giada De Laurentiis is spending time with her sister, and they recall fond memories of their brother Dino, who passed away. In his honor they cook a feast of his favorites, including cheesy mashed potatoes and pork chops with an Italian twist. Then, things are heating up in Flavortown Market as four firefighters give their all to smoke the competition and take home $20,000. Next, Chopped is back with an all-American challenge, where the chef contestants will have to incorporate hot dogs into each round. After that, average joes take on professional chefs in the ultimate culinary test of skill. Can the pros take the heat, or will they crumble under the stress of having to cook with muffins?

Work on Ree’s mercantile store and deli is going full steam ahead, and she's cooking to keep the construction wheels in motion. First she makes fabulous Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwiches piled high with crunchy coleslaw for the guys spearheading the renovations. A Salmon and Veggie Grain Bowl gets her ready for a long afternoon of planning and decision-making, plus she makes Blondies and Mercantile Snack Mix for the building crew.

Saturday 10a|9c
The Kitchen: Wrapped and Rolled

The Kitchen co-hosts are making all things wrapped and rolled, starting with Geoffrey Zakarian's Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken Breast. The Kitchen Helpline is open to answer your questions on how to wrap foods in bacon, burritos and spring rolls, then learn how to master the art of gift-wrapping. Jeff Mauro shows how to make his Chicken Shawarma Wrap, cookbook author Nikki Dinki stops by to make Zucchini Taco Shells with Beef and Zucchini-Tomato Salsa, and Geoffrey whips up an "engaged but cantaloupe" cocktail. Plus, The Kitchen's very own rap sensation, Herb and Spice, is back with its best song yet!

Saturday 11a|10c

Valerie’s good friend Alex is visiting from New York. To celebrate Alex being in town, Valerie brings the experience of Little Italy home by preparing some of her favorite classic Italian dishes. On the menu: Sausage and Pepper Sliders, Mom's Spaghetti and Meatballs, Prosecco with limoncello and candied lemon slices, and Homemade Cannoli.

Saturday 12|11c

Patricia reunites with some of the stars of the movie Mom's Night Out: Abbie Cobb, Kevin Downes, Sarah Drew and Andrea Logan White. To celebrate, Patty creates a fiesta night menu with ooey-gooey Bacon Queso, sizzling Steak Fajitas with Guacamole and Fixings, Easy Churros and a Smoky Margarita.

Saturday 12:30|11:30c

Giada and her sister pay tribute to their brother Dino, who passed away from cancer. The women celebrate Dino's life by creating a meal inspired by some of his favorite dishes, including Cheesy Mashed Potatoes, Charred Broccoli Rabe, and pork chops with a balsamic glaze — all with a northern Italian twist.

Sunday 12|11c

Four firefighters are heating up the market with a chance to smoke the competition and win up to $20,000. First, the chefs must make a big dinner — but with a "small" catch. Next, the red lights are flashing, as Guy asks the chefs to make a healthy lunch. Finally, the last two chefs go head-to-head making a spicy dish, but only one will climb the ladder to victory.

Sunday 8|7c
Chopped: Hot Doggin’

The theme for this competition is everyone's favorite all-American bun-buster, the hot dog! In the first round, the chefs get some very rare hot dogs and an uncommon condiment. A tiny ingredient causes big problems for two of the competitors in the entree round, and the last two chefs are left to tackle the strange challenge of making hot dog desserts.

Sunday 9|8c

Delicious ideas are brewing during the clash of the sandwiches, as professional and amateur cooks must utilize beer in their handheld masterpieces. Then, in Round 2, the surprise ingredient of muffins challenges the contestants to avoid a crummy result. It's up to judges Marc Murphy and Daphne Oz to determine who's a pro and who's an average joe!
