What to Watch: Down Home Cooking on The Kitchen and Special Guest Alex Guarnaschelli on Food Network Star

On Saturday morning, The Kitchen goes country as the co-hosts make some of their favorite down home dishes like Low Country Boil and a Southern Peach Julep. Plus, The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, stops by and makes her Blueberry Cobbler. Then, Tiffani Thiessen is making breakfast for dinner, and on Friday evening, Damaris Phillips and Rutledge Wood are taking a southern road trip to some of Georgia’s best dishes.
On Sunday morning, Tia Mowry is joined in the kitchen by Kelly Rowland as they make a meal to enjoy during their girls' night in. On Sunday evening, Flavortown Market is taken over by food bloggers on Guy’s Grocery Games, and the remaining finalists must make a 15-minute weeknight meal while streaming to a live audience.

Damaris and Rutledge kick off the most delicious road trip in central Georgia, where the Southern staples shine. They find an unbelievable breakfast at a gas station, where they devour legendary sausages, fried pork chops and lard-filled biscuits. Then, they hit up a BBQ joint in the college town of Athens, Ga. where smoked pork is the star before stopping at a legendary Atlanta institution to see how they've been making fried chicken for generations.

Tia's husband, Cory, offers to watch their son, Cree, for the night so that Tia and her fellow mom friend Kelly Rowland can enjoy a girls' night in. Kelly lends Tia a hand in the kitchen to prepare Chicken Katsu with Spicy Apple Slaw, Cauliflower Fried Rice, Sesame Noodles with Veggies and Spiked Green Tea.

Guy’s Grocery Games: Blogger Battle – Sunday July 23 at 8|7c
Four of America's hottest food bloggers go head-to-head in a culinary battle worth up to $20,000! First, the bloggers have to make something "between two buns" using a list of top-searched ingredients on the web. Next, they must make their best taco platter without any of the traditional taco ingredients. Finally, the last two bloggers must turn out a "trending dinner" featuring hot and not-so-hot ingredients chosen by Guy Fieri's dreaded Food Wheel.

The finalists must try their hand at something big, taking their inspiration from Josh Denny and his hit Food Network show, Ginormous Food. Then, it's time for the up-to-the-minute trend of live cooking while streaming on social media. Each finalist streams their take on a start-to-finish 15-minute weeknight meal while viewers cook along. Surprise guest Alex Guarnaschelli provides feedback on the finalists' performances as Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay send one more finalist on their way.
