Sunburned Peppers

These sunburned peppers are not only easy to make, they're absolutely delicious and perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

2.2 pounds (1 kilogram) bell peppers, seeds and stems removed, peppers thinly sliced

3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

Coarse salt

Red pepper flakes

Dried oregano

Ground black pepper 

Olive oil 

Directions

  1. Place the peppers on a baking sheet and dry the peppers in the sun for 6 hours.
  2. Place the dried peppers, garlic, salt, red pepper, oregano and black pepper in one or more glass jars and pour in olive oil to cover. Store in the refrigerator.
