We know how busy life can get. That's why healthy eating is so important, to give you the energy to get through the day. We've got ideas to take you from first thing in the morning (check out some veggies-for-breakfast ideas) through the end of a workout, to dinnertime. The best part? No flavor sacrifice needed.

"Great advice! I do a long workout in the morning and follow it up with a bowl of the Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal with 1% milk. I do half a serving of the cereal, and then top it with a banana and half of another type of fruit, like an apple or pear. For me it's the perfect combination of simple sugars, complex carbs, and protein my body craves right after a workout." --Julie

"Pretty basic, but I use a splash of lemon juice with extra virgin olive oil in my romaine & avocado salad every day. I also make a great lemon tart--super easy and delicious." --Kristine

Black rice from Japan has a nutty taste almost like basmati but not quite. [I also use] Thai jasmine rice, basmati--both brown & white, arborio for risotto, medium-grain Spanish rice for paella, sticky rice for sushi, and of course wild rice, which really isn't rice at all but grass seed." --Linda

Most folks think fruit when it comes to the morning meal, but we've found that a savory start to the day can be pretty popular, too. We asked readers on our Facebook page what their favorite breakfast veggies were. Some highlights:

"I love a nice ripe tomato with my eggs...maybe even a little Greek salad to get the day started." --Oksana

"Green smoothies: kale and berries blended with apple juice and honey!" --Jacqui
