Reader Recipes: Summer Sipping

Cocktails don't have to be full of sugary mixers or heavy ingredients. Integrate your summer fruit or herb purchases in with your cocktail recipes for some light and refreshing summer fun!
This week we asked you to share with us your favorite fresh summer drink recipes. You answered our call with some unique drink concoctions made from seasonal ingredients. We can't wait to sip on these delicious cocktails this weekend!

Strawberry Basil Cocktail: This fruity drink, from My Bar, Your Bar, uses fresh strawberries, muddled basil, vodka and a little pinch of pepper to create a beautiful and refreshing drink.

Watermelon and The Gin Stevie Cocktail: This summer-fun drink from Cocktail Buzz combines seasonal watermelon, made into watermelon sake ice cubes, with gin, basil and spearmint leaves for a tasty cool beverage.

Classic Bellini: This recipe requires few ingredients and effort but tastes perfectly sweet and refreshing on a hot summer afternoon. We place fresh peach puree at the bottom of a Champagne flute then pour Prosecco into the glass to create this beautiful bubbly beverage.
