Cherries 5 Ways

Cherry season has arrived! These babies are brimming with antioxidants including vitamins A and C, anthocyanin and quercitin. With all these nutrients and an irresistible sweet-sour flavor, it's no wonder they're one of our favorite warm-weather fruits. Here are 5 fun ways to enjoy them.
For an afternoon delight, combine fresh white and dark cherries with honey and vinegar. Enjoy with toast.
Beat the heat with refreshing cherry juice using four simple ingredients: sour cherries, sugar, water and sparkling water.
Fruit-based sauces are great alternatives to creamy or high-fat versions. Dried tart cherries make a mean sauce and pair wonderfully with pork, fish, turkey or chicken.
Don’t let those extra cherries go to waste! Macerate cherries by soaking them in brandy, rum or wine. They”ll last for up to one year.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with in-season produce by combining cherries with balsamic vinegar and sugar. Toss in another stone fruit like peaches, plums or nectarines.
