We’ve loved Mark Wahlberg since he was Marky Mark back in the day, but we never quite knew this much about what makes Mark the guy he is. The answer, it seems, is a whole lot of turkey.

Mark Wahlberg posted an Instagram story that shared his pretty intense daily schedule. For anyone wondering, he wakes up bright-and-early at 2:30 a.m. and heads to bed by 7:30 p.m.

Between those (OK, bizarre!) hours of his day, there’s a lot going on. According to Page Six, he works out (twice!), gets in a round of golf and some cryotherapy — and eats a whole lot of turkey.

"I eat before and after and, if I could, I would eat during a workout," Wahlberg said during a FAQ session on Instagram that was at both fascinating and horrifying.

"I start out with steel oats, blueberries and peanut butter for breakfast," he said. "Then I have a protein shake, three turkey burgers, five pieces of sweet potato at about 5:30 in the morning."

And then at 8 am...there’s more turkey. He has about "10 turkey meatballs." Don't ask.

He shakes up the rest of his protein picks for the day with a New York steak, grilled chicken, fish (usually halibut, cod or seabass) with some veggies. "That it," says Wahlberg. Naturally.

Finally, with all this talk about turkey, it's no wonder that his signature burger at Wahlburgers, known as "Mark’s Choice," is a turkey burger!
