Hello, Hollywood!

Katy Clark, a food-and-fitness "life coach" from Long Beach, Calif., was psyched to arrive at the Star house in the Hollywood Hills. She stuck around just two episodes, but made the most of it.

Star Journals

Each finalist was given a Food Network journal upon arrival in L.A. Katy filled the first several pages of hers with reflections and sketches.

Theme Song

Katy reflects on the first few exhausting days while in the car with fellow finalists. Katy Perry's song "Firework" gets her pumped for the next challenge.

At Home in the Star House

The finalists were also given digital cameras to capture life behind the scenes. Katy snapped this shot of the girls' messy bedroom.

Thinking of Home

A mom of three, Katy snapped a shot of the family photos and kids' drawings that she brought with her to L.A.

S'more Success

For the first elimination challenge, Katy made "All-Grown-Up S'mores," which she sketched out in her journal.

Team Dishes

The judges loved Katy's s'mores (left). Good thing teammate Chris let her buy good chocolate instead of the "victory beer" he wanted at the grocery store.

Go Team!

Despite the beer altercation, always-bubbly Katy had fun working with Susie and Chris.

Make New Friends

Katy's photos show that she bonded with pretty much everyone in the house.

Slumber Party

A fellow finalist snapped a shot of Katy and Susie hanging out in their PJs.

Finding POV

Katy struggled to define her point of view. Here, she attempts to come up with a new one in her journal.

"Many Different Katys"

With interests all over the map — food, France, fitness, kids — Katy's first camera presentation left the judges confused.

"What an Amazing Opportunity"

Despite the long days on set and tough challenges, Katy always remained sunny and positive. On day seven, she reflects on the one-of-a-kind experience she's having.

No Hard Feelings

Penny may have alienated some fellow finalists, but she and Katy are all smiles in this digital camera shot from the Star house.

Dish Blueprint

Katy sketched out her idea for the restaurant dish challenge at Scarpetta.

Finished Product

The finished dish of braised short ribs over Gorgonzola mashed potatoes looked remarkably close to Katy's sketch.

Peace Out

Katy's short rib dish ultimately sent her home. She handled the elimination with poise and as always, a smile: "Even though I'm not the next Food Network Star, I’m still smiling!"
