Road Trip Snapshots: Momma's Grizzly Grub
Check out a collection of behind-the-scenes photos that reveals what life was like on the road for Momma's Grizzly Grub while filming Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race.
Momma's Grizzly Grub
Each team was given a digital camera to document life on the road and capture behind-the-scenes shots of day-to-day filming, challenges and competitors. Adriane, Angela and Tiffany of Momma's Grizzly Grub snapped photos of each other and fellow racers on set.
Devoted Food Trucks Fan
While most of her fellow first-time food truckers had little idea of what to expect in the competition, Angela knew well what the race may have in store for her. She admitted that in the last few years, she watched every episode of both previous seasons of The Great Food Truck several times. She studied teams' strategies and learned from their mistakes.
Beauty Regimen
To make sure they looked their best on television, Tiffany and the other competitors visited the show's behind-the-scenes beauty team for a few moments of pre-filming pampering.
Campground Pit Stop
During the second week of the race, the remaining teams rolled into an Arizona campground to spend the night. Adriane took advantage of a moment of downtime in the competition to relax before filming began.
Road to Redemption
Though Momma's Grizzly Grub struggled to find their selling groove in Los Angeles and Flagstaff, Ariz., the ladies came back stronger than ever in Amarillo, Texas, proving themselves worthy food truckers with second-best sales.
Food Truck Friends
While Angela was the team's lead cook, her best friend Tiffany took charge behind the wheel, maneuvering their bright-orange truck through tight spaces and crowded parking lots.
Grizzly Grub
Early in the competition, Momma's menu mainly featured dressed-up pastas, like this Mediterranean-inspired dish with fresh vegetables and cheese. In order to serve a crowd-pleasing ballpark special in Amarillo, Texas, however, the ladies ditched the pasta in favor of chicken tacos.
Casualty of Racing
Not long after Momma's arrived in Fayetteville, Ark., the team accidently knocked over a sidewalk lamppost with their truck. Though they were fined $250, the price could have been much steeper had the city's mayor not generously agreed to handle the incident with the insurance company.
Farewell to Momma's
While Nashville proved to be the end of the road for Momma's Grizzly Grub, Angela showed competitors and at-home viewers alike the true meaning of the race. Before the team headed home to Alaska, Tyler told Angela, "You reached for your dreams and you succeeded wildly. You are what this year's race is all about."
