1/2 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 1/2 teaspoons sugar, or to taste

1-1 1/2 teaspoons kosher for Passover balsamic or red-wine vinegar


  1. Place strawberries in a bowl and toss with sugar to taste. Sprinkle with vinegar to taste. Let stand for 20 minutes before serving.;
