1 cup buttermilk

2 large eggs

4 tablespoons melted butter

1 1/4 cups stone-ground cornmeal

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup buttermilk, 2 large eggs and melted butter. Add liquid to dry ingredients and stir until combined. Spoon batter into molds and bake at 450 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden.;
