  1. Whisk 1/4 cup flour, 5 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, 1 egg, 3 tablespoons milk, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil and a dash of vanilla extract and salt in a large mug until smooth. Microwave until puffed, about 2 minutes.

This is my go to recipe for chocolate mug cake. I always add a 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder to facilitate the rising. You must a use large mug because this cake will over flow the edges of the mug. I also put a thin saucer under the mug while it's baking to catch the over spill, which tastes great.
