Directions

  1. Beat 4 sticks softened butter and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl with a mixer on medium-high speed until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Reduce the speed to low and beat in 5 cups confectioners' sugar, 1 cup at a time, increasing the speed to medium high between each addition. Add 1/4 cup milk and 1 tablespoon vanilla and beat until smooth.
