2 cups freshly brewed espresso, cooled to room temperature

4 cups ice cubes

1/2 cup half-and-half or whole milk

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons superfine sugar, or to taste

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1/2 cup Kahlua or other coffee-flavored liqueur if desired
