  • 1 ripe mango, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 cup lime juice (2 limes)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar syrup
  • 3/4 cup white rum
  • Crushed Ice


  • Place the mango, lime juice, sugar syrup and rum in a blender and process until smooth.

  • Pour the mixture over a glass full of crushed ice.

  • Note: To make sugar syrup, heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves.

My mangos were super ripe and sweet, so I did not have any issues with the sweetness of the drinks. However, the amount of rum was WAY too much. I am definitely a fan of strong drinks, but this was just way too strong. Half the amount of rum was about right after I adjusted the recipe. Even that was still on the strong side.
