Here's Looking at You, Kid

How, without edible eyes, are you going to make meaningful eye contact with your toast? As it turns out, you can make a pair of peepers out of almost any small round food. A light circle with a dark circle will give you a classic look. Green olives paired with red pepperoni and tomatoes are a little bit spooky. Here are a few edible "eyes" that actually taste good with the toast they're sitting on.

Glancing

Open up a mini chocolate sandwich cookie and scoop out a tiny circle of filling for attentive edible eyes on your chocolate-hazelnut toast.

Surprised!

Large chocolate sandwich cookies will give your toast a startled look that tastes unexpectedly good with chocolate-hazelnut spread.

Wide-Eyed

Layer a regular chocolate sandwich cookie with its mini counterpart and your toast will suddenly look terrified to be eaten.

Zoinks

Slice up a banana and top with malted milk balls for a fruity set of eyes you can layer on chocolate-hazelnut spread or creamy peanut butter toast.

Gleaming

Kiwi slices and fresh blueberries give your toast a glittery-eyed look that pairs perfectly with chocolate-hazelnut spread or a smear of cream cheese.

6.       Doleful

Don’t feel bad for your toast. The combination of chocolate wafer cookies, bananas and chocolate chips is anything but sad.

7.       Alluring

Top avocado toast with sliced radishes and black olives for a savory set of eyes that are girly and sweet. Finish with some dill “eyelashes” for the ultimate adorable eyes.

8.Entrancing

Small mozzarella balls, sliced black olives and capers also pair perfectly with creamy avocado and will transform your toast into something mesmerizing.

9.Innocent

Pickle slices, Swiss cheese rounds and gherkins suddenly become edible eyes on an open-faced ham sandwich you inner-kid self will enjoy.
