Cilantro

Add cilantro to pico de gallo or guacamole, or chop finely and sprinkle on top of finished tacos.

Pico de Gallo

This fresh tomato mixture is a great alternative (or addition to) salsa. Dice tomatoes and add cilantro, onion, garlic, jalapeno and lime.

Queso Fresco

This Latin American cheese holds up great as a topping for tacos since it holds its shape when hot. Sprinkle queso fresco, queso blanco or queso de crema on hot tacos.

Lettuce

Give your tacos a bit of refreshing crunch by adding thinly shredded iceberg lettuce to the base of the taco shell before adding the rest of your fillings.

Grilled Tomato Salsa

Bobby grills plum tomatoes on both sides until slightly charred and soft before blending into a salsa. This gives your taco topping a deliciously smoky flavor.

Flour or Corn Tortillas

Tacos taste great using either flour or corn tortillas, so it can be fun to experiment with both.

Pickled Jalapeno Slices

Can your own pickled jalapenos or pick up a jar at the store. They'll give an extra tang to your tacos.

Radish

Use radishes or onions to give your tacos more crunch.

Avocado

Avocados can be turned into a creamy guacamole topping or simply cut into cubes and sprinkled onto tacos by themselves.
