The Ingredients
All you need is a leftover cinnamon bun, an apple, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, cornstarch, salt, (vanilla if you have it), whipped cream and candied pecans or any other nut you like.

First Things First
Take a cinnamon bun and put it in a heated waffle iron …
Waffling
… until it starts to smell heavenly and crisps up in some places.
Next: The Apples
I liked this Golden Delicious apple because the skin is thin, so you don’t have to peel it. This is my favorite way to slice the apples: You cut two sides off and then the smaller remaining sides. Toss the core. Slice the rest, flat-side down.
Combine with Butter & More
Stir the apples together with a handful of brown sugar, a five-finger pinch of cinnamon, some butter, a teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken the juice, a pinch of salt, and vanilla, if you have it. Microwave it for 2 minutes ...
Apple Love
... or until it is soft and good-lookin’.
Plate Your Waffle
Once your apples are soft and slightly caramelized, you're ready to begin topping your waffle.
Load It Up
Pile all of the apple slices right on top of your perfectly crisp waffle.
Voila!
Dollop on some whipped cream. Make it a la mode. Add some candied pecans. Eat, eat, eat.
