Redneck Burger

1 1/2 pounds black angus chuck patty

2 ounces jalapenos, sliced 

2 ounces mushrooms, sliced 

2 ounces onion, chopped 

4 tablespoons (2 ounces) butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder 

2 slices Swiss cheese 

1 toasted sesame seed bun 

Steak fries, for serving


Special equipment:
a flat top grill
  1. Grill the angus chuck patty on a flattop grill for medium doneness, 10 to 12 minutes.
  2. Saute the jalapenos, mushrooms and onion with the butter and garlic powder on the flattop grill until tender, approximately 2 minutes.
  3. After the burger is cooked to the desired doneness, add the Swiss cheese on top. After the cheese is melted, pile the sauted vegetables on top of the cheese. Place the patty on the bun and serve with steak fries.
